Super heroes and princesses seem to be the favorite costumes for Halloween this year, guessing by the youngsters who attended the Halloween trifecta in Jefferson Thursday.
The Jefferson park and recreation department hosted its Halloween party at 4 pm. Members of the high school Interact Club played an important role in the spook-tacular fun.
Businesses around the courthouse square passed out treats from 5 to 6, and Jefferson public library staff and volunteers put on a short version of “Jack and the Bean Stalk.”
Rippey held its Beggars’ Night Saturday after the Rippey Fall Festival, but trick-or-treat will be held Tuesday, on Halloween, in Scranton, Churdan and Paton from 5 to 7 pm, and in Jefferson from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
In Grand Junction more volunteers are needed to set up on Main St at 5 pm and pass out treats for the Trunk-or-Treat. Beggars’ Night is from 5:30 to 7 pm.
